• What are your veterinarian’s credentials? When did he/ she graduate? Did he/ she graduate from a Chicago veterinary college or another university out of state?
• Bring your pet in for a routine exam and introduction before something serious occurs. Watch the interaction between your pet and the veterinarian. Does your pet take to the veterinarian? This is important!

• Can you be present for minor procedures such as shots or nail trims or will they insist on you leaving the room?
